ACP: Autologous Conditioned Plasma. This is the name for a Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) product from a big company called Arthrex. It is an injection treatment used in conditions causing joint and tendon pain.

ACP-Tendo ACP tendo is a novel slow release version of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) offering prolonged pain relief via a single injection.

ACP-SVF Combination Treatment: The combination of stem cell treatment with SVF (Stromal Vascular Fraction) with ACP (Autologous Conditioned Plasma) results in a powerful boost the regenerative effect of the stem cells.

Adipose Stem Cells: Stem cells harvested from body fat, typically around the belly button. Examples are SVF (Stromal Vascular Fraction) and Lipogems Adipose stem cells can be used in the treatment of osteoarthritis.

APS: Autologous Protein Solution. This is the name for a Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) product that’s also rich in white blood cells. It is an injection treatment beneficial for patients with osteoarthritis.

Durolane: The brand name for a Viscosupplementation product.

BMC: Bone Marrow Concentrate. A stem cell treatment using bone marrow. The regenerative effect of BMC injection treatment can be used in conditions like osteoarthritis, cartilage defects and non-healing fractures.

Hyaluronic Acid: This is a joint lubricant used in Viscosupplementation injections.

Lipogems: This is the name for a stem cell injection treatment for patients with osteoarthritis using abdominal fat.

Marrow Stem Cells: Stem cells harvested from bone marrow. The most common donor site is the iliac crest (pelvic bone), but there are other areas from which bone marrow can be taken. Techniques like BMC (Bone Marrow Concentrate) are used in the treatment of osteoarthritis, cartilage defects and non-healing fractures.

Ostenil: The brand name for a Viscosupplementation product.

PRP: Platelet Rich Plasma. The umbrella term for a range of products like ACP and APS. An injection treatment with a highly concentrated solution of platelets, growth factors and cytokines that results in a powerful boost to the regenerative efforts of the body.

Stem Cells: Stem Cells have the unique ability to divide and develop into different cell lines like muscle, tendon, ligament or articular cartilage. A great deal of research is currently being conducted worldwide to find ways of utilising the regenerative properties of stem cells. Products like BMC (Bone Marrow Concentrate), Lipogems and ACP-SVF (combination treatment of Autologous Conditioned Plasma and Stromal Vascular Fraction) have been shown to have regenerative powers in the treatment of degenerative joint conditions, osteoarthritis, cartilage defects and non-healing fractures.

SVF: Stromal Vascular Fraction. This is the name for a stem cell treatment for patients with osteoarthritis using abdominal fat. SVF is typically used in combination with ACP (Autologous Conditioned Plasma) to boost the regenerative effect of the stem cells.

Synvisc: The brand name for a Viscosupplementation product

Viscoseal: The brand name for a Viscosupplementation product.

Viscosupplementation: An injection treatment with a concentrated joint lubricant called Hyaluronic Acid. Used for the treatment of mild or mild to moderate osteoarthritis.

nStride-APS: This is the name for a Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) product that’s also rich in white blood cells. It is an injection treatment beneficial for patients with osteoarthritis.
