  • Mr Fischer is a gentle man who explained, during consultations, my results, options, potential risks, expectations and made suggestions of ways forward regarding my arthritic shoulder. The decision was made to have a full shoulder replacement. He saw me several times during my hospital stay making sure I was comfortable with treatment, pain management and plans to discharge. The surgery went extremely well, I'm now 8 months on since my surgery and have been discharged. The procedure was explained initially that it was mainly to reduce the pain with no guarantee of more mobility. In my case the surgery has delivered in excess of these. I am pretty much pain free by comparison, my mobility has a good range now. I have to say, Mr Fischer can play his part in performing his amazing the surgery, however, it is down to the individual to commit to a fairly long, and sometimes, challenging recovery, listen carefully to the physiotherapist, don't do too much too soon, work hard several times every day with the given exercises. Hopefully you will recover well too. I also found a good sports massage therapist can help with adhesions, scar tissue and muscles during the slightly later stages of recovery, which can help towards mobility.
